Pioneer Days!

July 24th was Manassa Pioneer Days! We had a ton of fun spending time with our family and watching the floats go by. These are some of the pictures from the parade. The kids had a ton of fun watching the floats going by. They received a ton of candy thanks to Heather who was getting all of her friends to send a ton of candy this way.
My parents came out from California and it was the first time they got to experience Pioneer Days. The funny thing about that is that its the coldest one that I have experienced. It was fun though to be able to spend the day with them at something we love to do.

Thursday the 22nd we went on the train over La Veta Pass. We happen upon free tickets the saturday before at the Air show. It was a blast. Since we had family in town for the week we all went to ride the train. It was cool because they were shooting a promotional video and we were given an oppertunity to be able to see the train come up the mountain.

Faith had a blast on the train. On the way home it started to rain and she was just singing away didn't care she was getting wet. The train horn was a tad loud for alex on the way home because our car was at the front of the train next to the engine. On the way home when we were almost home Alex said I love the train.

The flour storm of 2010

So we have had an adventure today and i know I havent posted much here lately. I am going to catch this up but I thought I would post the pictures of the flour storm of 2010. Curtis and I were enjoying lunch while he was home for his lunch break. Well it got really quite so we thought we would check and see what was goign on. Well Curtis went to their room and said OH MY!!! OH WOW!!!! THey were laughing and giggeling and

throwing flour in the air. So its been an adventure. Below you will get to see all of the picture of the flour storm of 2010. Hopefully it will bet better.

So the Kids just celebrated their 2nd birthday. Not a whole lot happen with Curtis being gone we wanted to have something small for them but other than that we just thought it would be best that we just not do too much because I didn't want Curtis to feel like he missed out on too much. Grandma and grandpa cooper were able to come over and we had Aunt Karen and Uncle Scott there too. This of course was all done down at Vicki's and Darrel's house which I was grateful for because my apartment is very small.

Faith opened all of the presents that they got and it wasn't because she was just hogging them Alex just had no desire to open his presents. We would tell Faith if a present was for Alex or if it was her. If the present was for Alex she would take the present over to him so he could see what he got. She really tried to get him to open his presents. She would take them to him but he ignored them so she just opened them for him instead.

So last summer Lisa sent over a little tykes play house type thing with Curtis when he was down in that area. The kid's last year were not too into it but this year they are have a blast on in. I took some pictures of them playing. They love playing in it more than at park.
These first set of pictures are of Faith and then I will put some of Alex. There are so many I thought that I would put up a section for each. Faith had hurt her knee earlier that day and she wasn't too sure about the slide sometimes because it hurt when she Bent down.

Here are some pictures of Alex. He seems to just love trucks and cars. He just loves to look at the wheels when they turn. He is starting to not be afraid of the trampoline and can almost get up there on his own which will be scary if we are not paying attention.

So here are a few of the pictures that I took of the kids on Easter. We didn't do a whole lot on Easter partly because there was 5 and a half inches of snow outside. We did go down and see grandma and grandpa shawcroft. We were also able to see Aunt Darla and part of her gang. The kids loved getting dressed up in there clothes and Alex always loves having his picture taken

I got my grades back and found out that I passed my final two classes and within the week I should have it official and be a college grad. I received my associates degree in Information Technology Visual communication. I have a nice break now of three weeks and then I will start my Bachelor program. If everything goes as plan (nothing ever does) I should be able to have my BS in Information technology Multi Media Visual communication at the end of 2010.

For those who didn't know that I as unlicensed driver and for those who did know I am now officially a licensed driver. I passed my driving test today and now as I jokingly put it am a real adult now. It will be nice to be able to drive were i need when I need to.
I think that is all the news at our end. Keep your fingers crossed that Curtis can get on with a dedicated fleet for delivery flowers. It is only temp. but it will get him use to a dedicated route and then he can get on with them here in Colorado. it pays a lot better than no so that is always better. Ta Ta for now.
